My Mom will be 81 in August. She drinks Ensure because her medications effect how food tastes and feels so she cannot eat certain meats and needs her protein as well as other nutrients. Hi, Ensure helped me a lot when I did not have much of an appetite due to being ill for a little while. I had lost about 10 pounds in maybe 5 days but I started taking a ensure and slowly got used to being on a schedule of eating again. Ensure complete vanilla flavor is the only kind of ensure my grandfather will drink, we always stock up on them for him when we go to the grocery because he can’t get them out where he lives and so every month we go see him, we deliver him multiple packs. He was diagnosed with a type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer three years ago and beat it going through chemo. Ever since then his doctors have wanted him to drink ensure to give him the nutrient his body needs, the hospital had gave him samples at the time to try and he ended up liking the vanilla complete the most. It is now the only one he will drink and he puts them upside down in his fridge. He says they taste better because anything thick at the bottom is now at the top and mixes better when shaken.
